This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how SehaCore (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses them on our website and in the SehaCore application (the “Service”), and how you can control your preferences. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data generally.

1 Introduction

When you visit our website or use our Service, we and our partners may place small text files and use similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) on your device. These help us provide the Service, remember your preferences, understand how you use our product, and improve security and performance.

This Cookie Policy describes the types of cookies we use, their purpose, how long they last, and how you can manage or disable them. By continuing to use our website or Service after we have informed you about our use of cookies (for example via a banner or this policy), you consent to our use of cookies as described here, except where your consent is required by law for non-essential cookies—in which case we will ask for it separately.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the cookies we use. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.

2 What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files that a website or application stores on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit or use it. They are widely used to make websites work properly, to remember your choices, and to understand how visitors interact with a site. Cookies can be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by a domain other than ours, such as an analytics or advertising partner).

Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period (from minutes to years) until they expire or you delete them.

We may also use similar technologies, including:

  • Local storage (e.g. HTML5 localStorage or sessionStorage): data stored in your browser that persists across sessions or until you clear it. We use it for things like keeping you logged in and storing preferences.
  • Scripts and pixels: code that runs on a page to deliver functionality or to measure usage (e.g. analytics or error reporting).

In this policy we use “cookies” to refer to cookies and these similar technologies unless we specify otherwise.

3 Categories of cookies we use

We use cookies in the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary: Required for the website and Service to function. They enable basic features such as page navigation, access to secure areas, and keeping you logged in. You cannot opt out of these without affecting how the Service works.
  • Functional: Remember choices you make (e.g. language, region, display preferences) and provide enhanced or personalised features. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.
  • Analytics and performance: Help us understand how visitors use our website and Service (e.g. which pages are visited, how long users stay, whether they encounter errors). The data is usually aggregated and may be collected by us or by analytics providers. This helps us improve our product and fix issues.
  • Marketing (optional): Used to deliver relevant ads, measure the effectiveness of campaigns, or limit how many times you see an ad. We only use marketing cookies where we have your consent or where the law allows without consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are based on our legitimate interest in providing a working Service (or, where applicable, necessary for the performance of a contract). Functional and analytics cookies may be based on consent or legitimate interest depending on jurisdiction. Marketing cookies are used only with your consent where required by law (e.g. in the EEA/UK under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR).

4 Cookies and technologies we use

Below is a summary of the main cookies and similar technologies we use. The exact names, providers, and durations may change as we update our Service or integrate new tools. We will keep this policy updated to reflect material changes.

Category Purpose Duration
Session / authentication Keep you logged in, maintain your session, and secure your account (e.g. session ID, CSRF token). Session or short-lived (e.g. 24 hours to 30 days).
Preferences Remember your settings (e.g. language, timezone, theme, dashboard layout). Up to 12 months or until you clear them.
Security Help prevent fraud and abuse, support login security (e.g. rate limiting, device recognition). Session or up to 12 months.
Analytics Understand how you use our website and Service (pages visited, features used, errors). Data is aggregated where possible. Typically 12–24 months; may vary by provider.
Marketing (if enabled) Deliver and measure ads, remarketing, and campaign performance. Used only with your consent where required. As set by the relevant provider; often up to 12–24 months.

We may use local storage to store authentication tokens, user preferences, and cached data so that the Service loads quickly and your choices are remembered. You can clear local storage via your browser settings.

5 Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on our pages or that we use to run the Service. For example:

  • Analytics providers: To measure traffic, usage patterns, and performance. These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and, where we act as joint or data controller, our agreements with them.
  • Payment providers: When you pay for a subscription, our payment processor may set cookies to process the transaction and prevent fraud.
  • Support or chat widgets: If we embed a support or chat tool, that provider may set cookies to enable the feature.
  • Advertising partners (only with consent): Where we use advertising or remarketing, our ad partners may set cookies to show relevant ads and measure effectiveness.

We do not control the cookies set by these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy and cookie policies. We select partners that meet our standards for security and data protection and, where required, we obtain your consent before enabling non-essential third-party cookies.

6 Your choices and how to control cookies

You have several options to manage or disable cookies:

  • Cookie banner or preference centre: When you first visit our website or Service, we may show a banner or link that lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies (e.g. analytics or marketing). You can usually change your preferences later via a “Cookie settings” or “Privacy settings” link in the footer or in your account.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via their settings (e.g. under “Privacy,” “Security,” or “Cookies”). You can typically choose to block all cookies, only third-party cookies, or to delete cookies when you close the browser. Instructions are usually found in the “Help” menu of your browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
  • Opt-out links: For certain analytics or advertising cookies, third-party industry tools (e.g. opt-out pages from the Network Advertising Initiative or Digital Advertising Alliance) may allow you to opt out of interest-based advertising or analytics across participating sites.

Effect of disabling cookies: If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website or Service may not work (e.g. you may not be able to log in or stay logged in). Disabling functional cookies may mean we cannot remember your preferences. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect core functionality but we will have less information to improve the product. Disabling marketing cookies means you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.

If you use different devices or browsers, you may need to set your preferences on each. Deleting all cookies will remove any preferences you have set.

7 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal that tells websites you do not wish to be tracked. There is no universal standard for how sites must respond to DNT. We currently do not change our behaviour based on DNT signals alone; we rely on the cookie and consent controls described in this policy and in our Privacy Policy.

Where supported by law, we may honour “Global Privacy Control” (GPC) or similar signals that indicate a user’s choice to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. For more information on how we treat such signals and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.

8 Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, in the cookies we use, or in applicable law. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes (e.g. new categories of cookies or new third-party providers), we may notify you by email or through the Service, or ask for your consent again where required by law. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
